Whether it's a fleeting, historic moment at a wedding or a heart pounding NFL playoff game, timing is everything when it comes to capturing the decisive moment. I think what I get the biggest rush from is the challenge to nail the shot as it happens.
There are no do-overs.
No set up moments.
No directing.
It's life as it happens, with all of it's glory and sometimes the heartache that comes with it.

Is working from home relaxing?
A wedding or an assignment rarely goes by where someone doesn't mention to us how relaxing it must be to work from home. Now we will be the first to tell you that we wouldn't want it any other way, but relaxing isn't a word I would use often.
Our little guy decided to have a fight with the dog food bag and the destruction occurred within just a few minutes. I was doing some editing and Elizabeth was cleaning out our car.
And if you are wondering, the dog food bag lost the fight.

Sneek Peak: Heather and Drew's wedding
Here is a little teaser from Heather and Drew's wedding in December. Her spin and the lighting worked perfectly together on the dance floor at Kirby's Private Dining. Heather and Drew booked us more than two years in advance, how cool is that! They didn't even have their locations set but they said they know they wanted us. We we're thrilled to be chosen to document their wedding.
Their full post will be on the blog this weekend!

Changes coming!
If you have been a follower of our blog, you know that we have kept our posts simple and to the point about our wedding and engagement shoots. We'll, we're pretty excited about some fresh ideas and changes that we will be implementing!
We'll still keep everything concise and won't bore you with useless details, but we are adding on new features to the blog to go deeper into our photography, our history, our family and of course our business. All of this will start very soon, so please keep checking back! It's not much fun to blog without any photos, so here is one of our three babies at what we would call the decisive moment!
