This wasn't the very beginning of the day, but I thought the look on Valerie's face as she was getting her dress put on would be a fun way to start their story!
Curtis and the guys were laid back from the very beginning.
This little groomsman was waiting outside while the girls got dressed. He just sat there staring at his watch, obviously wanting the time to move faster!
Valerie and the flower girls passed the time by spinning their dresses.
When Father Jay Davidson asked to see the bottom of the groom's shoes to make sure there was no words taped onto them, the Best Man gave him credit for being on the ball.
A very sweet moment right before the ceremony was to start. Valerie was very nervous and really wanted to see her father. Once he came down and gave her a kiss, she was all smiles and ready to go.
When Curtis saw Valerie walking down the aisle, all he could do was mouth the word "Wow".
Shot through a mirror in the balcony.
A reflection off of the marble in the church during their vows.
I love the Father's smile during the first kiss.
Curtis, who is the the Armed Forces, took a little flack from the bridesmaids for claiming that it was so hot. "You spent two years in the desert and this is hot?", one of the bridesmaids asked.
Curtis kept his humor all day, even feigning a huge sigh before signing the marraige license.
You've got to love this handshake to Curtis from his Grandfather.
The happy couple!
Valerie burst out in laughter while attempting to cut the cake.
It's hard to ignore a flower girl pleading for the bouquet.
One of the Best Men (there were two, who are twin brothers), surprised Valerie while looking for the garter...
...and his brother joined him in the search moments later!
The first dance.
"We Are Family" got everyone onto the dance floor...
while the D.J. Matt Kelly and the Y.M.C.A. kept them there.
Valerie's dad was the surprise hit of the night on the floor.
Congratulations Valerie and Curtis, your wedding was wonderful!
